COSTA RICA DAY 7 BOAT

After the nature hike and beach we went back to our hotel had some lunch and got on a bus to go on a boat tour. On the boat tour we went and saw Dolphins in the ocean. Then we went to a reef and went snorkeling. The boat had a slide off the back of it. The boys jumped off the high deck and went down the slide. The part that amazed me was NO RULES! I would ask the boat operators if my kids had to wear life jackets. They would look at me like, "I don't know, youre their mother!" So here we are out in the ocean, on a boat. My kids are swimming and jumping off the boat with no life jacket! (Ridge wore his sometimes and Range always did if he got in the water) They are all good swimmers but in the US, all children HAVE to wear a life jacket on boats... It is just a much different life. They are very laid back in Costa Rica and people still get to use their own common sense, not abide by 4000 rules. (Of course when Range got in the water, he wore a life jacket!) their life style really amazed me. Then we had dinner on the boat and it was delicious! Imwe had chicken or mahi mahi that they had caught that morning! It was so good. Then we watched the sun set and headed back into shore! It was an amazing day!
